Meet Aram

Aram is a Specialist Endodontist, a Consultant at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute and an examiner at The Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is one of a small number of UK specialists who both teach and examine at national level, taking referrals for the cases other clinicians find most difficult.

He qualified from London’s King’s College Dental Institute in 2009 and took on a post as a senior house officer in oral and maxillofacial surgery at a London hospital, assisting complex surgery on cancer and major trauma patients.

He later returned to King’s as one of only a handful of UK dentists to undertake the demanding four-year advanced specialist training, passing with full distinctions. In 2011, he was awarded membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and then earned one of the highest distinctions in the field when being made a Member in Endodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

From 2019 to 2025 Aram served as a Clinical Lecturer at Guy’s Hospital, teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students in endodontology, before being recruited to the UCL Eastman Dental Institute and promoted to Consultant in Endodontics.

At the Royal College of Surgeons of England he examines candidates at the final specialist examination in Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics. He also served as President of the Langham Endodontic Study Group from 2025 to 2026, the most successful year in the group’s 29-year history.

Aram has contributed chapters to endodontic textbooks, and his research papers have appeared in The Journal of Endodontics and the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2020, he was a finalist for the Dental Awards Dentist of the Year.

He accepts referrals through London Root Canal Clinic for all endodontic procedures, including cases with complex anatomy and those which have been previously treated and failed.
